We help Americans stop
overpaying at the pump.
FuelWatch is a free gas price comparison tool covering every US city, suburb, and ZIP code — powered by real-time crowd-sourced station data and weekly government energy reports.
Our Mission
Gas is the largest variable expense for most American households. Yet finding the cheapest price near you has always been harder than it should be — requiring multiple apps, outdated data, or just driving around hoping for a lower sign.
FuelWatch was built to fix that. We aggregate real-time station prices, government weekly averages, and historical trend data into one fast, clean, mobile-friendly experience — completely free, with no account required.
How Our Data Works
EIA Weekly State Averages
State-level average prices (Regular, Midgrade, Premium, Diesel) are sourced directly from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), the official government energy data agency. EIA prices are updated every Monday and reflect the previous week's average retail prices across each state.
Update Frequency
State averages update every Monday with new EIA data. Individual station prices update whenever a driver reports them on GasBuddy — typically multiple times per day at busy stations. Our station data cache refreshes every hour.
What We Cover
Price Accuracy
State averages reflect official EIA weekly survey data and are reliable but may lag by up to one week. Station prices are crowd-sourced and reflect what drivers reported — they may not match current pump prices exactly. Always confirm the price at the station before fueling. FuelWatch is not responsible for discrepancies between listed and actual pump prices.
